Welcome to AGA 303: Principles of Animal Nutrition!

Despite common misconception, this course focuses mainly on physiology of digestion and on chemical structure as well as function of nutrients. Nutrition is biology and chemistry (and biochemistry!), after all. Thus, this course has been renamed to better suit a Nutrition SEQUENCE.

I hope to cover more information about different species and different feedstuffs. We have acquired some new equipment to beef up the labs for this class and have plans to partner on some projects at the Feed Mill!

I expect you to be prepared and willing to learn. You can expect from me to do the best job I can preparing this course and to actively care for you and for your education.

Looking forward to the few new faces and getting to work with a lot of you again!

The current pandemic and required guidelines for teaching and labs has posed challenges, but we'll tackle as much as possible as quickly as possible.
