Welcome to AGA 313: Animal Breeding!
Formerly the title for Reproductive Physiology, this course is aptly named. Animal Breeding is an upper division elective course centered on utilizing genetic data to inform predictions for our herds and populations. It relies heavily on models, math and statistics for making these predictions. That might be fun and even therapeutic for some while more challenging for others. Regardless, this class has immense potential as most of you come from or desire to be a part of production agriculture operations with livestock.
I expect you to be prepared and willing to learn. You will have to work hard in this class to succeed. You can expect from me to do the best job I can preparing this course and to actively care for you and for your education, in return!
This class only comes around every two years, so I'm excited to be teaching it again!
