Welcome to AGA 323: Monogastric Livestock Management!
This course will focus on all things related to our single-stomached animals. While the course description mentions only swine and poultry, my hope is to include some information regarding horses. While there is Equine Science course, horses are still monogastric animals and commonplace to own.
While there is no lab associated with this course, the plan is to have hands-on activities, projects, and discussion/debate to supplement lecture.
I expect you to be prepared and willing to learn. You can expect from me to do the best job I can preparing this course and to actively care for you and for your education.
Looking forward to the semester!
-Dr. Sargent
