Personal Biography

Kenneth E. Garrison, PhD, is an analytical chemistry professional. He began his teaching career at College of the Ozarks in the fall semester of 2001. He strives to remain current in his field through literature, professional meetings and workshops. His greatest strength is his enthusiasm for science and chemistry.

Dr. Garrison believes that research is fundamental to chemistry learning. He starts students at College of the Ozarks on that path early on in General Chemistry with a guided research project. The undergraduate research experience culminates for chemistry majors in a three-semester research project.

Dr. Garrison has been honored by the College of the Ozarks with the 2019 Eugene Charles Wittick Teaching Excellence Award. He was also acknowledged with the 2017 Work Supervisor Award for his work with the student employees in the chemistry department.  He continues to strive to support his students in a Christ centered classroom and work environment.
