Description

Prerequisite: BUS 253. Thefirst half of the course introduces the principles and practices of human resources management relevant to hospitality organization, with emphasis on the entry-level manager's role. Topics covered will include employment laws, workforce management, compensation and benefits administration, labor unions, employee safety, diversity, and ethics. The second half of the course introduces specific employee leadership strategies including the development of purposes and goals, organization, motivation, communication, and evaluation. Fall
