Description

This course explores developments within Europe from the outbreak of WWI to the present. Topics include the causes and consequences of the Great War, the rise of totalitarian regimes, WWII and the Holocaust, the divisions produced by the Cold War, the gradual process of European political and economic unification, and the challenges that Europe faces in the twenty-first century.
