Description

Mathematics teaching and learning in grades 7 through 12. Topics include objectives, teaching materials, use of technology in mathematics teaching and learning, curriculum organization and principles of presenting mathematical content to secondary students. Does not count toward a major in mathematics. Two credit hours of this course will apply directly to materials and teaching methods within the discipline (Mathematics faculty). One credit hour will cover lesson planning, classroom management, and lesson presentation skills to provide a common core wherein students are enabled to meet the needs of all learners (Education faculty).
