Description

Prerequisites: Admission to the program; BTS 103. This course introduces the student to the character of the nursing profession and the program's mission and philosophy. A historical overview of health and healing from Biblical foundations to the present is examined. The Nightingale framework for nursing care and the critical thinking framework challenge the student to begin to think as a nurse, assuming the character and accountability and integrating the values of the discipline.
