Description

Prerequisites: NSG 384andNSG 388with a minimum grade of C (2.0). Based on a Biblical worldview, this course examines concepts basic to creating a nourishing environment for healing of individuals, families, and groups with diverse cultural and social backgrounds. Concepts of epidemiology, environmental health, vulnerable populations, and the impact of policy and economics will be explored. Clinical experiences in a variety of community settings provide opportunities for students to use nursing processes and critical thinking as they apply concepts of population-based health promotion and disease prevention. 45 clinical hours.
