Description
Prerequisite: SOC 203 or permission. This class will focus on working with groups that help to meet the special needs of people in such areas as substance abuse and addictions, dysfunctional families, physical disabilities, grief therapy, and issues related to youth and aging. It will consider how social workers help/enable such groups in regard to their formation, structure, leadership, therapeutic factors and life-cycle stages. Fall
