Prerequisite: BTS 103and 45 credit hours. This course provides students with an in-depth study of the ancient world surrounding the Bible. Students will explore the geography, culture, literature, and history of the ancient Near East and the Greco-Roman world of the early church. The course will introduce the field and finds of biblical interpretationand provide proper methodologies for comparing the Bible to other texts and artifacts from the ancient world.
