Description

Prerequisites: Must have had MAT 013with a grade of P orMath ACT score of 22 or greater. In addition, must have had high school chemistry or CHE 1004. This course is designed for a college freshman who plans to major in a field of science. General Chemistry I and II will give the student the necessary fundamental concepts of chemistry for continued studies in the sciences. The course will include a theoretical treatment of the nature of matter and a logical problem-solving approach. There will be emphasis on stoichiometry, atomic theory and bonding. There are three hours of lecture and one three-hour laboratory each week. Fall/Spring
