Hello, good students of Journalism --

I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Newswriting and Reporting I class August 25th.  You need to know that the textbook for the course is required, that we will use it extensively, and that you will need it on the first day of class.

The textbook is Field Guide to Covering Local News: How to Report on Cops, Courts, Schools, Emergencies and Government, by Fred Bayles.  It is available in the campus bookstore, as well as online.  Here is the Amazon link:  https://www.amazon.com/Field-Guide-Covering-Local-News/dp/1608710017.   It costs about $50 new, and it is well worth it.
