Hello and welcome back! 

This is going to be a great semester full of learning and growth. Nursing 348 Foundations, is primarily a medical-surgical content course and contains the foundational information for many of the disease processes you will be caring for in clinical. I wanted to share a few important pieces of advice to support your success in this course:

1. Use the Course Outline, not to be confused with the syllabus, to help you plan for assignments and activities. See Handouts for the Course Outline. I recommend you print this document and keep it with you as a reference.

2. Bring your textbooks to class. This is vitally important as we will be using them heavily in class and as a reference for information. See the Course Outline for textbooks you need to focus on for each class time.

3. Please read/review information, again referenced in the Course Outline, before coming to class. I don't expect you to have read EVERY word but have a general idea of the content.

4. Bring your laptop to class for quizzes. You will be completing some quizzes in class either at the beginning of class or at the end of content. Some quizzes will be assigned outside of class time.
