This course is intended to introduce the student to experiences of children in the foster care system. Students will be expected to:
- Describe the experience that may be expected by being a part of a foster family (PSY 2a).
- Describe current practices in the placement of sibling groups (PSY 2a).
- Connect the information from the textbooks and research articles to an interview of a professional working in the field of foster care (PSY 2a).

- Vocational Objective: Obtain a foundation in psychology sufficient for further professional training or graduate work in such fields as counseling, clinical psychology, public safety, social services, or school counseling.
- Demonstrates foundational knowledge necessary to gain admittance to graduate school, to further professional training, or in a vocation related to psychology.
