A consideration of the origins, historical development and essential beliefs of the major religions of the world, such as Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Shintoism, Zoroastrianism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam. While this study is primarily descriptive in nature, some effort is made to compare the similarities and differences of these religions. (S?even)
